All students will be paid an hourly wage of $8.50. Students living on campus during break will be charged the housing rate of $20.00 for the first week and $35.00 per week for all weeks thereafter.
The dining hall will be closed after breakfast on Thursday, December 20th and will reopen Friday, January 4th. Students living on campus weeks 1, 2, and 3 will have to feed themselves. Students living on campus weeks 4, and 5 will be charged for food at the following amount:
$65.00 for weeks 4 and 5
Cash advances will be available to students working and living on campus weeks 1, 2, and 3. Students may get an advance of up to $50.00 per week they are working to help pay for food expenses. Students may sign up for cash advances when they sign their Winter Break Work Agreement. TBA: the date cash advance checks will be placed in student mailboxes.
Break begins Wednesday, December 19th at 4:30 pm and goes until Sunday, January 20th. There will be five weeks of Winter Break work. The weeks are as follows:
Week 1: Wednesday, December 19th at 4:30pm – Sunday, December 23rd
Week 2: Monday, December 24th – Sunday, December 30th
Week 3: Monday, December 31st – Sunday, January 6th
Week 4: Monday, January 7th – Sunday, January 13th
Week 5: Monday, January 14th – Sunday, January 20th
Students do not have to work all weeks of Winter Break in order to secure a position.
Changes to a signed Winter Break Work Agreement may only be made with written appeal to the Dean or his designee in advance of the requested change.
