Welcome – An Introduction to Warren Wilson College
This video begins your tour with an introduction to Warren Wilson from Admissions Crew students Jo and Lily. You’ll see Ransom House, which hosts the Wilson Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Office, Spiritual Life, and the Global Engagement Office. Next you’ll go up to the Log Cabin, which hosts the Work Program and Community Engagement offices.
Boon Hall
Myron Boon Hall hosts the social sciences including psychology, sociology, anthropology, social work, and religion. It is a LEED Gold-certified building.
Morse and Witherspoon – Natural Sciences Buildings
Morse and Witherspoon host natural sciences, including Environmental Studies, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
Jensen Hall
Jensen Hall hosts Philosophy, English, Political Science, History, Archeology and other classes in those areas, as well as the Center for Integrated Advising.
Sunderland Residence Hall
Sunderland is located in the heart of the central campus on a hill overlooking the main campus. Warren Wilson’s largest residence hall, it is a historic, three-story, air-conditioned brick building that mostly houses first-year students.
Gladfelter Dining Hall
Gladfelter is the main dining hall on campus and students are able to visit as many times as they would like each day. Gladfelter offers a wide variety of options throughout the day and the menu is designed to satisfy everyone’s appetite.
Bryson Gym
Bryson Gymnasium, built in 1920, is one of the oldest wooden floor gymnasiums in Western North Carolina. It houses our climbing wall, aerial silks and weekly contra dances.
Kittredge Theatre
Kittredge Theatre hosts performances throughout the year, giving theatre students, the theatre crew, and others hands-on experiences.
Kittredge Theatre and Holden Arts Studio
Our 10,000 square foot art center houses instructional studios, photography darkrooms, faculty offices, an auditorium, and an art gallery for permanent collections and visiting exhibitions. The 3-D studio next door hosts studios for ceramics, sculpture, and 3-D design, as well as outdoor spaces for kilns, metal fabrication, and a foundry. The Lucy Fletcher Studios house instructional space for drawing, painting, and 2D Design as well as senior studios and a woodshop.
Pew/Ellison Library
Tour the library, Warren Wilson’s primary study spot and home to research materials, the Cole Study Room, the Writing Studio, the Sound Lab, and Warren Wilson College Archives.
Farm, Garden, Forestry, and Recycling
Sustainability is part of who we are at Warren Wilson College. Our on-campus Farm, Garden, Forestry Crew, and Recycling Crew reflect our sustainability values.
Athletics Facilities
Walk through the Devries Gymnasium, Steinbrecher Soccer and Lacrosse Complex, Labyrinth, and Outdoor Challenge Course with Ethan, captain of the Men’s Soccer Team.
Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church and College Chapel
The Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church and College Chapel reflects the Presbyterian history of the college while providing weekly Sunday worship conveniently located on campus. Though Warren Wilson remains a member of the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities, it is now an inclusive community for students of all formal and informal faith traditions.
Morris Pavillion
Morris Pavilion is an outdoor gathering space that hosts events throughout the year. It is an ideal spot for an outdoor classroom.
