At age 5, I was asked to draw a self-portrait of what I wanted to be when I grew up. I imagined my future self in a beret, holding a painting palette and donning a curly mustache. Everyday, I choose to live a life in the arts. This path brought me to Warren Wilson College in 2012 where I currently chair the art department and teach courses from First Year Seminar to Senior Project. I also co-own Stone Cloud Studio and stay engaged in the community through volunteerism and by seeking public art opportunities locally, regionally and nationally. This drive to bring art into the community has lead me to develop course content that allows my students to work outside of the classroom and with the community in an art context.
