Please remember when searching for outside scholarships never to apply for a scholarship that requires you to pay an application fee. There are absolutely no circumstances that should require you to release your social security or credit card numbers.

North Carolina residents may reference College Foundation of NC's website for helpful information about applying for college, financial aid, and merit-based scholarship.

Western North Carolina residents may reference the Community Foundation of WNC's website for additional scholarships.

Carl Kessler Rotary Scholarship (Criteria: Rising juniors and seniors, GPA of 3.25 or higher, complete essay). Deadline April 29, 2013. Applications available in the Business Office.

Internet Initiative Scholarship (Criteria: Student in good standing at a college or university, must write a blog essay of 500 words). Deadline April 30, 2013.

Sell Used Books.com Essay Contest (Criteria: Must be a college or university student and a legal resident age 18 or older, must complete an essay). Deadline April 30, 2013.

Healthy Choices Scholarship (Criteria:Be enrolled in a program two years in length or longer in fall of 2013, complete application). Deadline April 30, 2013.

Scholarship by Design Award (Criteria: Be a resident of the US, currently attending school on a full time basis). Deadline May 1, 2013.

MassMutual Scholars Program (Criteria: High achieving college students of African American, Asian/Pacific Islander or Hispanic descent interested in pursuing careers in the insurance and financial services industry). Deadline May 3, 2013.

The Tomorrow Fund for Hispanic Students (Criteria: Hispanic/Latino student, low income background, first generation college student, 2.5 GPA, graduate of NC high school). Deadline May 15, 2013.

Land of the Sky Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (Criteria:Pursuing a degree in Business, have financial need, must have GPA of 3.0 or higher). Deadline May 15, 2013.

Black and Lee Scholarship (Criteria:Be between the ages of 15 and 20 on May 15, 2013, answer essay question, attending a post secondary institution in the Fall of 2013). Deadline May 15, 2013.

B.Davis Scholarship (Criteria: High school junior or senior or any student currently registered in a post secondary institution, must submit essay of 1000 words or less). Deadline May 27, 2013.

Tylenol Future Care Scholarship (Criteria: student pursuing a degree in healthcare with a strong record of leadership, academic excellence and community service). Deadline May 31, 2013.

LM Scholarship Program (Criteria: Be enrolled in a degree program, GPA of 3.0 or higher, answer an essay question). Deadline May 31, 2013.

DutchCrafters Amish Furniture Heritage Scholarship (Criteria: First time freshman in 2013-2014, 3.0 highschool GPA, must file the FAFSA). Deadline May 31, 2013.

Caretenders Scholarship Program (Criteria: Must be attending an accredited university or college in the fall of 2013). Deadline May 31, 2013.

Student Opportunity Scholarship (Criteria: member of the PC (USA) and maintain involvement in worshipping community, have completed first year of college, GPA of 2.5 or above, answer essay questions). Deadline June 1, 2013.

Rogers Community Volunteer Scholarship (Criteria: Full time undergraduate student, volunteered a minimum of 10 hours a month for the last 12 months, GPA 2.5 or greater)Deadline June 1, 2013.

Sedary & Associates Scholarship (Criteria: Be between the ages of 16 and 22, rnolled in college, submit an essay) Deadline June 15,2013.

Big Sun Athletic Scholarship (Criteria: Student althete, must complete essay). Deadline June 21, 2013.

Lift Parts Express Scholarship (Criteria: Legal resident of US, enrolled as Freshman or Sophmore in College) Deadline June 30, 2013.

Thermo Fisher Pierce Scholarship Program (Criteria: GPA of 3.0 or higher, majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field). Deadline July 31, 2013.

AES Engineering Services Scholarship (Criteria: Must complete essay). Deadline October 4, 2013.
