Scholarships

In order to be considered for a scholarship, you need to first submit your application to be admitted into the program.  You will then complete a simple application submitting your resume and an overview letter (no more than 2 pages) that outlines both your qualification to receive a scholarship and a statement of how this will help you cover costs of a graduate education.

We strongly encourage everyone seeking funding to find other opportunities to combine with these scholarships as part of your funding package.

Climate Corps and Americorps alumni are eligible to apply for an additional $1000/year to cover costs as part of our status as a School of National ServiceApplications for a scholarship can be found here.

Fellowships

The MS in Applied Climate Studies program, in partnership with other campus organizations, offers at least two fellowships for the cohort.  These fellowships are focused on climate-related work, and involve a process similar to applying for a job.  The fellowships require 20 hours per week during the 15-week semesters (fall and spring) and the equivalent of 29 hours per week for 10 weeks in summer.  The two Fellowship positions include the following:

1)WWC Applied Climate Resilience Fellowship

2)WWC Climate Action Planning and Operations Fellowship

You can apply for both of these (each with a different application), but no one person will serve the role of the two fellowships.

Student Loans

The Federal Direct Grad PLUS Loan is available to Graduate students who complete the FAFSA. Grad PLUS borrowers are subject to a credit check process to determine eligibility. An origination fee is deducted from the loan amount therefore, you may wish to increase your total loan amount to cover this fee.
