Business Program
Every student at Warren Wilson College works.
What work crew will you choose?
The Business Program crew is made up of two sub-crews:
Business Program Operation and Marketing Specialists
You’ll write and distribute a quarterly business program newsletter, create a new department bulletin board each semester, maintain an Instagram account, create and maintain an internal business program page, prepare materials, and actively participate in marketing the program at events such as Admitted Student Days and major gatherings. You’ll also have the opportunity to tutor students.
Small Business Student Alliance and Incubator Specialists
As a Small Business Student Alliance(SBSA) and Incubator Specialist, you’ll work closely and communicate regularly with members of the SBSA to support the organization. You will provide logistical and marketing support to the SBSA, coordinate and market small business/entrepreneurship workshops, assist with coordinating the new venture and other business competitions, and assist with developing materials for student entrepreneurs. You’ll also collaborate with the Alumni Relations Coordinator to maintain a web-based electronic directory of Warren Wilson-owned businesses and entrepreneurial ventures and develop profiles of successful alumni business owners and alumni working in the business space.
Why Work Crews?
Part of your work experience is reflection, helping ensure that you achieve both your own educational goals as well as our Common Learning Outcomes. These distinguish our Work Program, giving it focus and relevancy that set it apart from a federal work-study or your average part-time job. Each crew in the Work Program identifies crew-specific goals as well. These outline skills and abilities your supervisor will teach you during the semester.
