My Story
The processes of fabricating and realizing an idea, no matter its size or function, has always been exciting to me. Starting in my early childhood I found myself spending countless hours creating lamps and other functional objects in a cramped basement in West Virginia. This love of making grew physically and intellectually to include the sculptures and furniture I make today. Through this journey the constant has remained the same, the joy I get from not only solving the problem creatively, but also having the opportunity to create the problem.
James DarrTeaching at Warren Wilson College has given me the opportunity to see first hand what a unique educational atmosphere the campus, people and students involved have to offer. This community has an abundance of cross-disciplinary resources that support and enhance the educational experience.
