My Story
Much like others who have discovered the field of animal science, it started with a love of animals and the idea of becoming a veterinarian. Growing up, there was always an animal presence in our home; for us it was always dogs and birds. While in college, studying animal science, I quickly learned there was more to the animal sciences than veterinary medicine! With this newfound knowledge, I decided to pursue animal science research to answer questions about animal physiology and use these answers to improve their health and well-being. I also developed a love and passion for goats! My goals now are to pass on the knowledge, passion, and experiences to students that share a love and passion for animals!
Liz BenavidesAt Warren Wilson, I have most enjoyed learning from my students as much as I am teaching them. Their wealth of experiences has not only been valuable in my lessons, but I have learned so much from them as well!
