Mark Adams, Ph.D graduated in 1984 as a chemistry major who had worked on the Accounting Crew. He went on to become a genomic researcher and associate professor at Case Western Reserve University. Adams is one of the founding scientists at the Institute of Genomic Research and managed its large-scale DNA sequencing facility. He is a member of the Human Genome Organization, American Society of Human Genetics, International Mammalian Genome Society, and the International Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution. Adams has written more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and more than 25 books and articles.
