Pep Rally: Celebrating Success on the Court!

Join us as we send off our Owls in style!

Join us as we celebrate the success of our men’s and women’s basketball teams with an on-campus Pep Rally! We’ll send them off in style by coming together as a community to cheer them on! You’ll get a chance to meet the teams, high-five Doc (our Owl Mascot!), get your spirit gear from the bookstore, hear the Owen High School Pep Band, and cheer on the teams as they leave for Pennsylvania!

The Warren Wilson College women’s basketball team has earned the fourth seed in the 2018 USCAA D2 Women’s National Championship. The tournament will start on Thursday, March 1 and run through Saturday, March 3. The Owls will head to Uniontown, Pennsylvania where Penn State Fayette is the host institution.

The last time the Owls made a tournament appearance was the 2013-14 season. The Owls will be looking to make a solid run this year after having a great regular season. The Owls broke the record for most wins in a season with 18 and have earned the highest ranking in the polls at #3 in program history.

Adding to the success across the sport, the Warren Wilson College men’s basketball team has earned the seventh seed in the 2018 USCAA D2 Men’s National Championship. The tournament will start on Wednesday, February 28 and run through Saturday, March 3. The Owls will head to Uniontown, Pennsylvania where Penn State Fayette is the host institution.

The last time the Owls made a tournament appearance was the 2015-16 season. The Owls lost in the semi-finals to the eventual National Champion #1 ranked Berkeley College.
