Warren Wilson Professor of Social Work Dr. Lucy Lawrence was interviewed by WLOS alongside the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of WNC about the widespread unrest currently happening in Cuba.

In the interview, Lawrence said the pandemic is exacerbating issues that have persisted in Cuba for decades, and that U.S. policies toward Cuba could also be playing a role in the country’s plight and lack of access to aid.
