Purpose

Do you want to lead your fellow alumni and be an important voice at Warren Wilson? The Alumni Board is the place where WWC graduates work together on stewardship, event, and nomination committees to engage, honor, and invite all alumni to support the College.

The Alumni Board is the governing body of the Alumni Association, which includes alumni of Warren Wilson College, Warren Wilson Junior College, Warren Wilson High School, Dorland-Bell School, Asheville Farm School, and the Warren Wilson College Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Program.

Members interact with campus leadership, including the Alumni Board President who serves an Ex-Officio member of the Board of Trustees.

Committee Work

Events Committee
Events Committee engages alumni by assisting with gatherings that bring alumni and other constituencies together, specifically back to campus when possible. The committee is comprised of members based in the Western NC region, and works with various alumni chapters with a focus on the Asheville chapter.

Nomination and Recognition Committee
This committee is responsible for reviewing nominations and recommending candidates for the Alumni Board and for evaluating nominations for Distinguished Alumni. The final selection is made by the Events Committee, the Executive Council, and the Alumni Relations Director.

Stewardship Committee
Stewardship Committee focuses on building institutional cultivation and stewardship with an emphasis on encouraging alumni giving to the WWC Annual Fund. This committee also works to build and maintain relationships and connections between alumni, current students, prospective students, and the College.
