In 2022, Robert’s grandson, Adrian Smith, restored the scooter, founded Robert Rust Foods, and began making burritos and bowls, with lots of hands-on love, in Winston-Salem.
They still sell hot food out of the scooter at farmers markets, breweries, and other events, but their products can also be found in grocery stores across North Carolina. Their burritos are cooked, rolled, and wrapped by people, not machines. Each ingredient is carefully selected for flavor and texture. The burritos and bowls feature big, chunky ingredients and attentive care throughout the entire process. You can taste the difference.
