Lynn M. Morton is the eighth person and the first woman to hold the title of president at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. She takes on her new role in July after more than 25 years at Queens University of Charlotte, which is where she currently holds the title of provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Directions to campus

FROM I-40 WEST OF ASHEVILLE
Take Exit 55 (East Asheville), turn left at the traffic light, and go under the interstate. Bear right at the intersection traffic light (intersection with US-70/Tunnel Road) onto US-70. Drive 1.5 miles until you reach the next traffic light and turn left onto Warren Wilson Road. Travel about 1.5 miles until you reach the campus.

FROM I-40 EAST OF ASHEVILLE
Take Exit 59 (Swannanoa), bear right at the exit and drive to the traffic light at the intersection with US-70. Turn left and go approximately 2 miles until you reach the second traffic light. Turn right onto Warren Wilson Road and travel about 1.5 miles until you reach the campus.

FROM THE AIRPORT
Take Interstate 26 West to I-40 East and then follow the instructions from I-40 West of Asheville.

The campus proper has two main entrances, marked as the South and North Entrances. The core campus and the site of the inauguration are between these two entrances.

 

Parking

Continue past the South and North Entrances and take your first right into the primary parking area on campus behind Kittredge Theater, located at 701 Warren Wilson College Road. Additional parking will be available at the National Wiper Alliance, located at 875 Warren Wilson College Road. Parking will be marked and shuttles available from both lots. If you plan to attend the ceremony only, please schedule your arrival to park for no later than 1:30 pm so that you will be sure to arrive at the ceremony site on time.
