My Story
Hi! I was raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and went to college in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia before heading to the Midwest for graduate school, and now am thrilled to return to the Appalachians to work at Warren Wilson!
In May 2020, I was married to Cassie, and now most of my favorite things to do are with her. We met working together at a summer camp, and this is something we still like to do. We also like exploring, playing board/card games, and cooking and baking.
I also love looking for math/science outreach opportunities. In the past couple of years, I have helped with MSU Math Camps, MathCounts, the local Science Olympiad, Girls’ Math and Science Day, and Campfire Science Night. I am excited to find stuff like this here on campus and in the local community!
Christopher PotvinWorking with students is my biggest passion. I think my motto as a long time summer camp counselor and director sums up my teaching philosophy pretty well: Camp is for the campers!
